Waiting for one of 17 million meals?
More than 17 million or one in 10 meals were thrown away untouched in hospitals in England last year, data shows. This staggering fact of monumental management chaos is the latest to hit the beleagured NHS. This limp-wristed remark from a civil servant "We have to over-supply because we don't know who is going to want the chicken korma and who is going to want cauliflower cheese." What!?! - 17 Million of them! Pull the other one, I say.
This is yet another example of incompetency of today's expensively paid "managers". The Archbishop of Canterbury visited Darfur recently. Just a fraction of this wastage would have been received with open arms by this unfortunate part of the world - literally.
Are we all going to hell in a handbasket?
