Rumsfeld replaced after poll loss

What took him so long? The great handshaker of Saddam, when things seemed OK, is now given his marching orders. Swiftly done. Iraq was on the lips of nearly every American voter. Pity Rumsfeld saw it as a "shock and awe" spectacular.

Apparently George Bush thought it was right, that "after a series of thoughtful conversations", Rumsfeld should move on. He and the Defense Secretary have decided "the time is right for new leadership at the Pentagon". Bravo to that!

Dr John sent me by!

I am doing the Dr John marathon. What will happen next we will see.

Proof that what goes around, comes around!

Dr. John sent me by to remind me why I'm not in politics...

Is it possible for George Bush to have a thoughtful comment? On a similar sensitive world issue George Bush said in what he thought was private (but forgot he was wearing a microphone) to our Prime Minister, "See, the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this s**t, and it's over." --George W. Bush, at the G8 summit, St. Petersburg, Russia, July 17, 2006

I'm glad Rumsfeld is gone, but I think for old times sake, George Bush should have joined him one last time as Rumsfeld left, and fired himself too.
