In another teacher row, the powers-that-be (mainly self-righteous politically-correct prigs!) have deemed a sexual fantasy too much for pupils to bear. This teacher, known as Miss Rusty (her name is Leonora Rustamova) wrote an account in a book of pupils' sex fantasies, flirting and truancy. This has had a devastating impact in the real world, where fantasies of this kind are not allowed. No, the real fantasies are those like the ones Gordon Brown has at G20 summits. All fantastic!
So she gets sacked. Has anyone complained about her book? No! In fact, there have been mass demonstrations by pupils and a campaign by parents to have her reinstated, along with another teacher who was also dismissed for supporting her. This draconian Calvinistic action was deemed appropriate, but I think it smacks of the worst kind of Yorkshire nonconformism.
Have these people ever read the Song of Solomon in the Bible? Their action is a lot of pious nonsense. We had all that with Lady Chatterly's Lover. The judge asking if it was a book that his butler could read and all the rest of it.
Pornography? Some say it's in the mind. I think there should be a sense of proportion. We are being held to ransom in this country by an unelected army of pen-pushing poseurs all hell-bent on their gender studies and politically correct poison. The real pornography carries on regardless.
We are fools to let it continue!

She's NOT been sacked. Get your facts right.
And her colleague was not dismissed either. What has occurred here is a 'precautionary' suspension. Which, under the circumstances, is perfectly reasonable.
Neither Song of Solomon in the Bible or Lady Chatterly's Lover were written about minors, nor were they written to include the names of real people.
The question is, what did the book achieve? And the answer is, nothing or than an unnecessary furore and the disruption of the pupils' studies. Is that teaching?

Oh, really?
Three comments and I'm out! I get the drift, Kevin. I do realise she is only suspended, but she's not actually teaching at the moment.
My point was that there were no real accusations or complaints of impropriety and it was the education authority that took it upon themselves to be judge and jury.
You may side with them or you may not, but I think it was their storm in their own teacup.
She and Steve Cann have not been sacked, that is a lie.
Make your point using the truth, not lies.
As before, the suspension is precautionary, not disciplinary, and should not be regarded as such. And more importantly, the storm has been caused not by the school or governers, but by interfering know-it-alls with nothing better to do, and who have jeopordised not only the future of the teachers involved, but the pupils themselves. The campaign group and the protesters do not have the blessing or approval of the teachers involved. Is that libertarian?
I take it you weren't in the book, Kevin!
Also, people have complained about the book... I should know, I was one of them!
actually, it's kind of official now, she actually HAS been sacked, personally, i think it's disgusting that the school would follow such a course of action....
