Pete Postlethwaite, Oscar-nominated actor, dies at 64

One of the great things about acting, especially in Britain, is that talent is probably the most important thing. Britain has long had great actors and one of the most talented was Pete Postlethwaite, who has died aged 64. Funny thing is that he had a very friendly smile, yet this was not much used in his acting. He played graggy type parts, to great effect. He had a long career but it was a slow burner sort. Those of us who filter past the beauty boys tend to spot the good supporting acts. In Pete's case he went from support to front stage actor. A class act!
