Oh dear! I've just read that HSBC has lost a computer disc with 370,000 names and details of customers' life insurance on it! Hope I'm not on the wretched thing.
A spokesman said "We are looking into it and basically it has got lost from A to B". There appears to be a lot of trouble these days between A and B. The government leads the way in losing the way on A to B trips! Should it be that A telephones B and has a comprehensive chat about how things are going to happen? "Hello, Sid, I'm just sending you a CD with 370,000 names of our customers on it. Don't lose it, will you?" isn't quite up to the mark. Something more vigorous and watertight is required.
