Homes and businesses were destroyed - many local people were probably uninsured. The famous Ladypool Road was closed for over a week. St Barnabas' church lost its roof and is closed pending repairs. If it hadn't been for the recent restoration the damage may have been much much worse. Unfortunately the neighbouring Ladypool School suffered even more damage.
